Jeffrey Li

I am currently investigating the application of prebiotics, probiotics, and synbiotics to improve gut health and behavioral functionality in zebrafish models of autism. I started my educational journey in the Department of Nutrition at the University of Toronto where I studied micronutrients and antioxidants. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I joined Dr. Kubow’s lab in fall 2021 to pursue my master’s degree. Our projects on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) led by Dr. Kubow are a large multi-lab collaboration between many research institutions and industry leaders spanning many fields of expertise such as neuroscience, nutrition, nutraceuticals, and gut health.
